Rachana Wright
Graduate Assistant - Internship Program
Rachana is the Graduate Assistant for the Internship Program. As part of her role, she manages administrative duties, assists with internship specific projects and programs, and engages with students to provide coaching on career related topics. This is her second year with us!
Rachana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from NDSU in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counselor Education with a focus on clinical mental health. In her spare time, Rachana enjoys spending time with friends and trying new restaurants around Fargo.
Makenna Hufford
Marketing and Events Intern
Makenna is the Marketing and Events Intern for the Career and Advising Center. She assists in the set up of events, utilizes social media to share information about events, and participates in marketing campaigns.
Makenna is currently studying Marketing at NDSU with minors in Agribusiness and Graphic Design. Makenna enjoys spending time with her family on their farm in Morris, Minnesota.
Abby Zimmerman
Career Mentor
Abby Zimmerman is from Lino Lakes, Minnesota studying Finance. After graduation she wants to go into Financial Analytics, then eventually start her own business as a Financial Advisor. In her role as a Career Mentor she enjoys being able to help students while building a connection with them. She is currently working as an intern for a Financial Advisor based in Minneapolis. In her free time Abby enjoys seeing friends, going on runs, and spending time outside.
Ava Gyolai
Career Mentor
Ava is from Eagan, Minnesota. She studies chemistry and has a passion for public health research. Ava has previously worked on campus as a Student Tour and Recruitment Specialist, a teaching assistant, and as a researcher for the chemistry department. She is the vice president of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Club and is a member of both Mortar Board and Blue Key Honors Societies. Outside of school, Ava enjoys listening to music and podcasts as well as cooking for her friends and family.
Elizabeth Beckstrom
Career Mentor
Lizzie is from Ham Lake, Minnesota studying Mechanical Engineering. She has a passion for aerospace as well as materials and hopes to implement that into her career one day. This is her 3rd year as a career mentor and enjoys being able to sit down with her peers to assist with resumes, cover letters, and other documents as well as helping with internships and career related topics. She is excited to be able to make connections with fellow students and help them reach their career goals. When not in school or work, she finds herself reading, hanging out with friends, or playing video games.
Faith Dusbabek
Career Mentor
Faith Dusbabek is from Princeton, Minnesota studying Accounting. She is a sophomore and after graduation she plans on getting her master’s degree in accounting. Then, she wants to start studying for the CPA exam to become a certified public accountant. On campus she is involved in Chi Alpha and the Business Connections program. She is excited to be a career mentor because she wants to help students with their resumes and career goals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the lake, and reading.
Jon Spahn
Career Mentor
Jon is from Shakopee, Minnesota. He is majoring in Finance and plans to pursue a Master’s in Applied Economics & Agribusiness. Outside of class, Jon is Vice President in the Bison Fund, helping manage ~$2.6M of NDSU’s Endowment Funds. He is currently interning for a Financial Services firm based out of Dallas and San Diego. In his free time, Jon likes to listen to music, hang out with friends as well as play golf.
Kenzie Jacques
Career Mentor
Kenzie is from Devils Lake, North Dakota. She is majoring in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis on Child and Adolescent Development, Family Science, and Adult Development and Aging. She is also taking up minors in both Women and Gender Studies and Apparel Studies. Kenzie is very involved in campus clubs and activities. She is a member of HHS Ambassadors, the treasurer for HDFS Club, the secretary for Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and a member of the Green Bandana Project. Kenzie is excited to be a Career Mentor because she has a passion for helping students, especially students who are in the adolescent and emerging adulthood stages. She also would like to work in student affairs on a university setting someday as a career, so working as a Career Mentor will be great experience for her future jobs. Outside of school, Kenzie participates in working part-time at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley as a Family Service Associate, pursuing her passion of also someday working in non-profit settings as a full-time career.
Mackenzie Mueller

Mackenzie is from Shakopee, Minnesota. She is majoring in Emergency Management with a minor in Strategic Communication. On campus, Mackenzie is part of many organizations at NDSU. She partook in summer orientation, tours, and being a summer R.A. During the school year, She participates in Campus Attractions. Mackenzie is excited to be a Career Mentor to help new students improve their passion for their future careers outside of NDSU and she loves to see their passion through different events, organizations, and experiences here on campus. Outside of school, Mackenzie enjoys watching the newest movies, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
Patrick Kadrmas
Career Mentor
Patrick is from Fargo, North Dakota and is a first-year student at NDSU. He has a dual major of Social Science Education & History. He is currently one of many hosts of NDSU’s own student radio, KNDS 96.3 FM. While on the air, he has played songs from R&B, Pop, and Alternative music genres, while hosting some faculty for interviews, including NDSU President David Cook. Reasons for him wanting to become a Career Mentor are that he enjoys seeing people succeed and wants to be a helpful step for that success. Outside of classes, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to The Weeknd, Stephen Sanchez, Waterparks, and many other artists, and playing video games.
Rochana Matsika
Career Mentor
Rochana Matsika is from Dickinson, North Dakota. She was born in Zimbabwe and spent 9 years of her life living in Maryland. She is a sophomore at NDSU and is Majoring in Nursing and has a minor in Psychology. She loves helping people and has always had a passion for mental health and hopes to become a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Rochana is currently a Resident Assistant in Weible hall and she is also a part of the Violence Protection Educators on campus. She is excited to start working at the Career and Advising Center since she loves helping students. She understands that college is a chaotic time and she wants to help people navigate that chaos whether that be helping them create the perfect resume or simply answering one question.
Sawyer Teicher
Career Mentor
Sawyer is from St. Francis, MN. He is a sophomore at NDSU and is majoring in Dietetics along with a minor in Psychology. With dietetics, Sawyer’s main goal is to work with patients and clients to reach their dietary and health goals. Additionally, Sawyer is hoping to teach nutrition either at a high school or college level. He is excited to start at the Career and Advising Center and work with students to build resumes, answer questions, and help toward achieving their career goals. On campus, Sawyer is a part of the Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics. In his free time, Sawyer enjoys baking, hanging out with his friends, playing disc golf, and playing video games.
