Jessica Spencer
Career Mentor

Jessica is from Rochester, Minnesota. She is majoring in Music Education with a focus on Clarinet and Composition. Her main career goal in to work with students to expand their knowledge about the world in general but especially in music. On campus she participates in many large and small ensembles but premieres her own compositions regularly. She also is the Student Ambassador for the North Dakota section of International Clarinet Association. When Jessica isn’t working or attending class she would most likely be hanging out with family, practicing, or playing video games.
Amir Foysal
Career Mentor

Amir is an international student from Bangladesh. He is a graduate student at the College of Business majoring in the Business Analytics program. Amir has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Public Administration. Blending his knowledge of administration and analytics, he aims to take a managerial role in the tech industry to provide business solutions. He works as a graduate assistant during the academic year. He also manages the NDSU Outdoor Adventure at Wallman Wellness Center. Amir is thrilled to be a Career Mentor and hopes to help as many students as possible to help them manifest their dream career goals. Amir likes to play badminton, and soccer along with traveling and watching movies in his free time.
Shahid Iqbal
Career Mentor

Shahid is an international student from Pakistan. He is a graduate student at Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department. Before coming to NDSU, he has been working with engineering firms in Pakistan for about six years on different construction projects. Shahid has master’s degree in civil engineering from Japan and bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from Pakistan. On campus, he is working as graduate assistant and few other research and teaching related jobs. As a Career Mentor, Shahid is determined to help students to get the job and career they are looking for. In his free time, he hangs out with friends, watches movies, goes for walks and enjoys nature, and hits the gym!
Madison Baggs
Career Mentor

Madison Baggs is from Dover, New Hampshire and is studying Human Resources Management. Her career goal is to work in the Human Resources field because she wants to connect with others and help them in the workplace. On campus, Madison is involved with Cru and is the Secretary of Women in Business. In her free time, you can find her exploring Fargo, hanging out with friends, or taking dance classes. As a career mentor Madison looks forward to helping her fellow students with their resumes, cover letters, and achieving their career goals!
Elizabeth Beckstrom
Career Mentor

Elizabeth is from Ham Lake, Minnesota studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Elizabeth hopes to one day work as an engineer in the Aerospace field. As a Career Mentor, Elizabeth enjoys being able to sit down with her peers to assist with resumes, cover letters, and other documents as well as helping with internships and career related topics. She is excited to be able to make connections with fellow students and help them reach their career goals. When not in school or work, Elizabeth finds herself reading, hanging out with friends, or playing video games.

Career Mentor

Ben is a junior from Chanhassen, Minnesota studying Emergency Management with minors in Business Administration and Community Development. His current career goals are to work in business continuity and the fire service. Outside of work and class, Ben is involved with Theta Chi Fraternity, the Emergency Management Student Association, and also volunteers as a Firefighter/EMT with a local fire department. He has held internships with the City of Madison, WI as well as the State of North Dakota. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out, staying busy, and discovering new music. Career Mentor

Delaney is from Prior Lake, Minnesota. She is majoring in Biological sciences and minoring in Psychology here at NDSU. After undergrad, she plans on continuing her education by earning a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. On campus Delaney is a part of the American Medical Student Association and is a College of Science and Mathematics ambassador. She is excited to be a Career Mentor so she can be a resource for her peers and help them with whatever they need! When not working or attending class, Delaney is most likely hanging out with her roommates, baking, or watching Marvel movies.
Tanner Teicher

Tanner is from St. Francis, Minnesota. He is currently a sophomore here at NDSU double majoring in Health and Physical Education with goals of being a teacher in the future. He is excited to help students with their career questions so they can continue to strive for their goals. When not working at the Career and Advising Center, Tanner is balancing his studies, two other jobs, and enjoying free time. In the free time he does have he is most likely running/working out, doing something outdoors, learning a new skill (currently swimming), watching movies, or hanging out with family and friends.
