Elizabeth is from Ham Lake, Minnesota studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Elizabeth hopes to one day work as an engineer in the Aerospace field. As a Career Mentor, Elizabeth enjoys being able to sit down with her peers to assist with resumes, cover letters, and other documents as well as helping with internships and career related topics. She is excited to be able to make connections with fellow students and help them reach their career goals. When not in school or work, Elizabeth finds herself reading, hanging out with friends, or playing video games.
Ben is a junior from Chanhassen, Minnesota studying Emergency Management with minors in Business Administration and Community Development. His current career goals are to work in healthcare or private sector emergency management/business continuity and work part-time as a Firefighter/EMT. Ben is involved with Theta Chi Fraternity, the Emergency Management Student Association, and also volunteers as a Firefighter/EMT with Harwood Fire & Rescue. When not in the office, class, or tied up with one of his involvements, he enjoys hanging out, working out, and discovering new music. As a Career Mentor, Ben’s primary interests involve resume and cover letter reviews, career and major exploration, and connecting students with helpful resources.
Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Andrew is a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. As a Career Mentor, he assists students with navigating career exploration tools, reviewing resumes and cover letters, and connecting them with other helpful resources.
His many interests include astronomy, animal biology, music, fantasy and science fiction literature, and art. After graduating, he hopes to find a job that puts his creative spark and passion for helping others to good use.
When he isn’t in class or in the office, Andrew enjoys playing videogames, running Dungeons and Dragons sessions, and caring for his leopard gecko Wally.
Mandi is a Junior from Ramsey, Minnesota studying Biological Sciences with a Biomedical emphasis and has minors in Chemistry and Psychology. Her future career goal is prenatal genetic counseling. Mandi is involved on campus as the Vice President of the American Medical Student Association, and has membership in the College of Science and Mathematics Ambassadors and Mortar Board Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys baking, glamping, and watching the Bachelor. Mandi’s favorite things to work with students on in the career studio are job search and resume preparation, and cannot wait to help students towards their career goals this year!
Abby is a senior from Maple Grove, MN studying Strategic Communication with a minor in Sociology. In her work at the Career and Advising Center, she enjoys helping students and alumni with resumes, cover letters, refining LinkedIn profiles, and more. Abby’s goal within her career is to work in digital marketing. When she isn’t in the office, you can find her writing, playing with her dog, watching basketball, and staying inside during the winter.
Delaney is from Prior Lake, Minnesota. She is majoring in Biological sciences and minoring in Psychology here at NDSU. After undergrad, she plans on continuing her education by earning a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. On campus Delaney is a part of the American Medical Student Association and is a College of Science and Mathematics ambassador. She is excited to be a Career Mentor so she can be a resource for her peers and help them with whatever they need! When not working or attending class, Delaney is most likely hanging out with her roommates, baking, or watching Marvel movies.
Sophie Semanko is majoring in Interior Design with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Born and raised in Fargo, Sophie originally decided to move away for college to Milwaukee, Wisconsin but then realized NDSU was where she belonged. On campus Sophie is involved with Tri Delta, the American Society of Interior Designers, Lutheran Student Fellowship, and Order of Omega. Sophie loves to help her peers with any career questions or needs they have. Whether it be checking over a resume, reviewing a cover letter, searching for internships, or holding a mock interview, Sophie is ready to listen and work with you as you prepare for your future!
Tanner is from St. Francis, Minnesota. He is currently a sophomore here at NDSU double majoring in Health and Physical Education with goals of being a teacher in the future. He is excited to help students with their career questions so they can continue to strive for their goals. When not working at the Career and Advising Center, Tanner is balancing his studies, two other jobs, and enjoying free time. In the free time he does have he is most likely running/working out, doing something outdoors, learning a new skill (currently swimming), watching movies, or hanging out with family and friends.
Rachel is currently an undergraduate in electrical engineering at NDSU. She can be found in the Career Studio helping students and alumni with questions on their resumes and cover letters for their job search, as well as helping with any questions about scheduling for students. When she is not working in the Career and Advising Center, she can be found outside enjoying a nice day, reading a book, knitting, or watching a crime show.
Emma is an undergraduate at North Dakota State University. She is majoring in English with a minor in Strategic communication. Her interest in this field bloomed when she was younger and fell in love with the Magic Tree House novels. She felt so much love for these books, and she wanted to spread that passion. This is her third year at NDSU, and she currently balances two jobs on campus. Her current goal is to graduate NDSU in one year and find a career as a publicist or literary agent. When not in school, Emma lives in her hometown Shakopee, MN with her family and three cats. However, she hopes to find a job in Minneapolis or larger city farther away from home. She currently has no published work but hopes to one day. In her free time, Emma loves to write, play Animal Crossing, bake, rock climb, and listen to Hamilton.
