Welcome to NDSU! We are excited to get to know you and assist with registering for your first semester of classes.
Follow these steps to schedule your individual appointment with an academic advisor for your major.
These appointments are virtual on Zoom.
1. Find your major in the alphabetical list below and click the “Schedule an Appointment” button. A new page will load.
2. There is a separate scheduling option for new Transfer Students (you attended another institution after high school and now enrolling at NDSU) and new First Year Students (you have never attended college before, though you could have earned college credit while in high school)
Select the Transfer Student or New First Year Student option for your major.
Make sure to click “Show More Services” if needed to show the full list of options to choose from.
3. Some appointment availability and registration dates will require you to move the calendar ahead and select a date and time that works for you.
4. Enter your name, email, phone number, and any notes you’d like to share with the advisor. Please use an email address that you check regularly, as this is where the confirmation email, Zoom link, and reminder emails will be sent.
5. Answer the questions at the bottom of the page to indicate your NDSU Student ID number.
6. Please read the confirmation email and reminder emails as the appointment gets closer for important information to have available during the appointment to help your registration go smoothly (Log in information to Campus Connection, access to transfer credit information, etc.).
7. Please call the Career and Advising Center at 701-231-7111 if you need assistance scheduling your new student registration appointment or have questions. We look forward to meeting and welcoming you to NDSU!!
If you have been admitted to an accelerated program because you have a previously earned bachelor’s degree or have current standing as an RN or LPN, please contact ndsu.nursing@ndsu.edu to set up an advising appointment.
