Employers conduct different types of interviews for a variety of reasons.  The nature of the job, the work environment, time constraints, and many other factors may play into how companies choose to carry out their interviews processes.  No matter the type of interview, being prepared and knowing a bit about what to expect can certainly increase confidence and help with understanding the process.

 

Types of Interviews:

  • Video Interviews – Video interviews are interviews that are conducted via video conferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, myinterview, Spark Hire, etc.).  Click here to learn more about tips and the specifics of video interviews.
  • One-way Interviews – Employers are turning to this style of interviewing in order to learn more about their qualified applicants personalities prior to setting up an official interview.  Click here to learn more about tips and the specifics of one-way interviews.
  • Multiple Mini Interviews – Through the multiple mini interview process, applicants will be given a question or prompt in which they must address with an individual or a panel during a timed circuit.   Click here to learn more about tips and the specifics of multiple mini interviews.
  • Panel Interviews – Panel interviews are interviews conducted with more than one interviewer involved in the process.  Click here to learn more about tips and the specifics of panel interviews.
