The IGNITE fellowship is a virtual, part-time, paid tutoring opportunity to build meaningful relationships with youth, accelerate student success, and gain skills that propel their leadership forward. Fellows will receive a $1200 (pre-tax) award at the conclusion of their fellowship term.
Eligibility:
- Current undergraduate and graduate students with a minimum 2.5 GPA (minimum HS GPA 3.0 for college freshmen)
- Ability to participate in onboarding and fellowship readiness prior to the start of the fellowship
- Ability to work approximately 5 hours virtually per week during the school day
- Evidence of fulfilling commitments and strong organizational skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.: U.S. citizens, national or legal permanent residents, or Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA recipients)
- Prior experience with low-income communities is preferred but not required
- Desire to work with students and have a positive effect on their learning experience
- Interest in contributing to Teach For America’s mission
