Software Quality Assurance Intern

Location: On-Site
Duration: Fall Internship
Target candidates: Junior or Senior standing (3rd–4th year)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Quality Assurance Intern who wants real-world product experience. As a QA intern, you’ll work directly on our live, customer-facing applications that are used by organizations around the world. You won’t be testing toy projects or internal demos, you’ll contribute to the same codebase, pipelines, and quality processes that support a global production platform.

You’ll be embedded with our Engineering, and QA Engineering teams, helping design tests, automate workflows, validate new features, and improve reliability across web, mobile, and cloud systems. Interns on our team commit code, influence how features ship, and see their work go into active releases.

If you’re a student who enjoys breaking things, understanding how systems work, and has interest in how to ensure quality at scale, this internship is built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with our production applications used by customers across the globe in multiple industries
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and backend services
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers during feature design to identify risks early
  • Build and maintain automated tests as part of our CI/CD pipelines
  • Validate UI functionality, APIs, data flows, and integrations across distributed cloud systems
  • Investigate defects, document clear reproduction steps, and partner with developers on fixes
  • Help improve QA processes, tooling, and test coverage across the platform
  • Participate in product planning, project planning, and release activities

Technologies You’ll Be Exposed To

Our stack evolves, but interns typically work with technologies like:

  • Web & Mobile: Modern JavaScript frameworks, WebView-based mobile apps, REST APIs
  • Backend: .NET / cloud-hosted services, background processing, data pipelines
  • Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring and logging
  • Data: SQL, structured and semi-structured data, performance and reliability testing
  • Test & Automation: Tools like Testcafe, Playwright, Selenium, Postman as well as custom automation frameworks

You don’t need to know everything on day one, we care more about curiosity, fundamentals, and the ability to learn quickly.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred, with at least one semester remaining after the internship
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals and basic programming concepts
  • Comfort working with technical systems and learning new tools quickly
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly document issues and findings

Nice to Have

  • Experience writing test cases, doing exploratory testing, or building test automation
  • Familiarity with any programming or scripting language (C#, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Exposure to web technologies, APIs, databases, or cloud platforms
  • Experience with Git, DevOps pipelines, or Agile/Scrum environments

Why This Internship Is Different

  • You’ll work on real, global products; not side projects
  • Your contributions will impact real users
  • You’ll be mentored by engineers and QA professionals who build and operate the platform
  • You’ll gain experience across the full lifecycle: design, development, testing, and release
  • You’ll leave with tangible experience in modern QA, automation, and cloud-based systems

What You’ll Gain

  • Practical experience in software quality engineering at scale
  • A deeper understanding of how enterprise and field-service platforms are built and supported
  • Exposure to modern development workflows, automation, and cloud operations
  • Professional mentorship, real ownership, and a strong foundation for a software or QA career
