Software Engineer Intern

Location: On-site
Duration: Fall Internship
Target candidates: Junior or Senior standing (3rd–4th year)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern who wants hands-on experience building real production software. As an intern on our engineering team, you’ll work directly on the products our customers use every day across multiple countries and industries.

This is not a classroom exercise or side-project role. Interns on our team help design features, write production code, fix real issues, and see their work deployed into live releases. You’ll be a part of our Engineering and QA Engineering teams and supported by experienced engineers who will mentor you through modern development practices, architecture decisions, and cloud-based systems.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, building scalable services, and seeing your work turn into shipped product features, this internship is designed for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and enhance features in our production web, mobile, and backend applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that ships to live customer environments
  • Participate in system design discussions, feature planning, code reviews, and release planning
  • Collaborate with product managers and QA to translate real business needs into working software
  • Turn designs and requirements into frontend UI
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, background services, and data pipelines
  • Troubleshoot defects and issues across our systems
  • Learn how modern cloud platforms support global, enterprise-scale products

Technologies You’ll Be Exposed To

Our stack continues to evolve, but interns commonly work with:

  • Languages & Frameworks: .NET, Angular 20+, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Web & Mobile: Web applications, WebView-based mobile apps, RESTful services
  • Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and telemetry
  • Data: SQL, structured/semi-structured data, performance-aware data access
  • Engineering Practices: Git-based workflows, code standards, code reviews, and automated testing

We don’t expect mastery, we look for strong fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred, with at least one semester remaining after the internship
  • Experience with at least one programming language (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Understanding of core computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, OOP)
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively in a team environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with web or backend development projects (school, personal, or open source)
  • Familiarity with APIs, databases, or cloud platforms
  • Exposure to Git, DevOps workflows, or automated testing
  • Interest in performance, scalability, reliability, or mobile/web platforms

Why This Internship Is Different

  • You’ll work on a real, globally used product
  • Your code will ship to production and impact real customers
  • You’ll be treated like an engineer, not an observer
  • You’ll learn modern development practices used in enterprise cloud platforms
  • You’ll gain experience across the full product lifecycle, from design to deployment

What You’ll Gain

  • Real-world software engineering experience on a production system
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and technical leaders
  • Exposure to cloud architecture, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices
  • A strong foundation for full-time software engineering or platform roles
