League & Events Summer Intern

Homegrown Lacrosse | Twin Cities, MN (Hybrid: office, field, & some remote)

Part-Time | May 1 – July 31, 2026 | $3,500 Stipend

About Homegrown Lacrosse

Homegrown Lacrosse is a Twin-Cities-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating positive change in young people’s lives through lacrosse programming. We inspire and empower youth to excel in life and lacrosse through camps, leagues, tournaments, training, and leadership development.

As a League & Events Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in sports management, event operations, and marketing while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

📌 Position Overview

  • Title: League & Events Summer Intern
  • Reports to: Director of Leagues & Events
  • Status: Part-time, Non-exempt
  • Hours: Avg. 5–8 hrs/week of admin tasks (mix of remote & in-person) along with full weekends required for tournaments:
  • Tournament Dates (20–25 hrs each): May 29–31, June 5–7, July 17–19, July 24–26, July 29-30*

🎯 What You’ll Do

League & Tournament Operations

  • Assist with logistics, scheduling, and setup/takedown
  • Support GNLL staff during league & tournament play

Admin & Tech Support

  • Manage schedules, scores, and league databases
  • Compile stats and assist with event software

Customer Service & Communication

  • Share event details with teams & families
  • Represent GNLL on-site with a positive, professional presence

Staff & Volunteer Support

  • Help recruit, train, and coordinate event staff & volunteers

Marketing & Outreach

  • Capture photos & stories for marketing
  • Support strategies to grow participation

👤 Who We’re Looking For

  • Adult interested in a Sport Management, Event Management, or related field
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Strong communicator with people skills
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace
  • Must be available for all tournaments listed
  • Passion for Sports-Based Youth Development
