Job Title: Field Engineer Internship (Summer)

Reports to: Field Engineer
Job Summary Job shadow field and office positions to gain an overview of the entire operation. Assisting field engineers with daily routine. Temporary internship, approximately May-August. 50% in the field, 50% in the office
Essential Duties – the following duties are typical of a Field Engineer. The intern will learn from, and assist, the Field Engineers to accomplish:
- Troubleshooting & technical support of production chemical programs
- Job shadow and assist various field positions (ex: Service Technicians)
- Conduct water analyses and interpret data
- Compiling data, draft engineering reports
- Provide recommendations tailored to individual well needs
- Optimize chemical programs
- Follow through on recommendations
- Work with teammates to service customers
Final project: Conduct presentation to production team at completion of the internship
Education/Experience: Current engineering majors, Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial preferred.
Physical Requirements – Lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds chest high. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, driving and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear, and see.
Work Environment – When in the field, limited exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme weather, precipitation and wind. Potential, but unlikely, exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil and gases. Noise level is typically moderate, occasionally loud.
Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, safety data sheets (SDS’s), operating instructions and procedure manual. English language fluency in reading, writing and speaking.
Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, and Access), and electronic timesheets.
