What is the Business Internship & Career Expo, and what students attend?

The Business Internship & Career Expo is attended by students in business-related majors. NDSU alumni and students from area four-year universities are welcome to attend. Last year, 65 employers and 352 students attended this event. The Expo is not open to the general public.

The expo provides an excellent opportunity to connect with students to discuss or interview for current and/or future career-related employment and co-op/internship opportunities.

NOTE: this event is only for bona fide employers of college interns and graduates. Anyone wanting to participate for the sole purpose of promoting anything except jobs may not attend.

When and how do I receive information about the Expo?

You will automatically receive registration information by email for the Business Internship & Career Expo if you are registered with the NDSU Career and Advising Center and have recruited business majors in the past. Registration deadline is October 3, 2017.

If wanting to register after the deadline, call 701.231.8464 to see if space is available. Please note the registration fee after the deadline is $500. No exceptions.

What is the registration fee, and what does it include?

Registration fee for the Business Internship & Career Expo:

  • $300 early-bird through September 12, 2017
  • $400 normal fee through October 3, 2017
  • $500 late registration fee after October 3, 2017 (if space is available)

Registration includes one 6-foot table, 2 chairs, registration for up to two representatives ($10 for each additional rep), a tablecloth (limited supply available – first come/first served), electrical power ($50 and limited to the first 20 indicted on registration form), and refreshments.
Please Note: There may be limited or no wireless internet available at this event.

The registration fee must be paid by October 17, 2017 to ensure your spot at the expo.

How can I pay for the registration fee?

The registration fee may be paid by check or credit card and must be received by October 17, 2017 to reserve your booth.

SPECIAL NOTE: If the registration fee has not been paid in full by the start of the event, the company representative checking-in will be required to pay with a credit card.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Cancellation notification is appreciated so we may inform students. Refund of the registration fee (minus $50 administrative fee) will be given for cancellations received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. There is no refund of the registration fee for cancellations after October 3, 2017.

What are the advertising options?

  • Featured Sponsor – only 6 available ($750): Priority booth placement at event & on mobile app, logo displayed at the event, on our website, in CAREERLINK and campus newspaper ad.
  • Electronic + Newspaper Ad ($250): Electronic ad will be displayed on the Business Internship & Career Expo webpage, and the logo will be included in the school newspaper with the event’s ad.
    • The specs for the ad are as follows:
      • A print quality jpg, gif, or eps graphic file
      • Resolution should be 256 pixels x 250 pixels and 200 dpi

    Newspaper Ad ($100): Logo will be included in the school newspaper with the Business Internship & Career Expo ad.

    Deadline for purchasing an ad is Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Where do I ship displays and materials for the Business Internship & Career Expo?

Employers are responsible for the shipping of their displays.

The NDSU Career Center is not responsible for lost or stolen company displays/materials.

NOTE: The NDSU Career Center and/or the SHAC will not accept displays/materials.

 Where can I unload my vehicle for the Business Internship & Career Expo?

You can unload your vehicle on the NORTH side of the SHAC. Parking is FREE and will be in the Fargodome lot across the street from the SHAC.
