Spring Career Expo

Student Info:

The Spring Career Expo is a great opportunity to connect with local and national employers. Whether you are looking for an internship, full-time employment, or want to learn from leaders in your industry; the Expo is available for you. This event is open to all NDSU students, NDSU alum, and students from area colleges and universities. This event is not open to the general public. There is no need to register for this fair, just stop by the Fargodome on February 8th ready to meet over 250 potential employers!

What to bring: Student ID and copies of your resume. We also recommend dressing professionally.

Prepare for the fair:

  • Check out the Career and Advising Center! We can help with resumes, cover letters, mock interviews, career fair tips, and more. Our office is located in Ceres Hall 306 and we are open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm for drop-in services or by appointment.

Employer Registration Info:

EVENT REGISTRATION WILL OPEN FOR EMPLOYERS IN HANDSHAKE ON DECEMBER 1ST

Registration will open December 1st, 2022. Standard registration will close January 18th, 2023 with a late registration option available until January 23rd, 2023, or until space capacity has been met.

Standard Registration: $450 (Late registration available January 19-23 for $550)

Registration includes: 10′ x 10′ booth space, (1) 8′ table, 2 chairs, registration for 2 representatives, electrical power, Wi-Fi, lunch, and refreshments. Additional representatives are $15 each.

Payment: Payment is due by January 25, 2023 to guarantee access to your booth space. Once your registration is approved, you will be sent an automatically generated email from Handshake with your invoice and the link to the payment site. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam and junk folders before contacting Libby Hardwick-Nelson at elizabeth.hardwick@ndsu.edu or 701-231-7172 to resend the email. If you prefer to mail a check, please contact our office to ensure you have the correct mailing address.

Sponsorships: We will have several sponsorship opportunities available. Check back soon for more info!

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation notification is appreciated so we may inform students. Employer cancellation prior to the early registration deadline (January 18, 2023) will receive a 50% refund. Employer cancellation after January 18, 2023 does not qualify for a refund. Registration is non-transferable. There will be no refunds due to weather-related cancellations (by the employer or NDSU). Sponsorships are nonrefundable. We promote our Career Expos to the best of our ability, utilizing social media, print media, emails, text messages, information sessions, and more. We do not guarantee any level of student attendance and participation, and we do not issue refunds based on student attendance or lack thereof.

Parking & Unloading: Parking is available for free in any of the Fargodome lots for the day. We will have drive-in unloading available on the north end of the Fargodome at the loading docks. There will be student volunteers available to assist with unloading. Employer check-in will be located on the north end of the Fargodome, through the loading docks.

Shipping: Shipping is coordinated through our local UPS Store. Please contact Jeff at 701-235-9505 to receive cost and address information. Items may be shipped up to one week in advance of the event. The Career and Advising Center will coordinate the delivery of items to the Fargodome from The UPS Store, and your shipped package will be waiting at your booth when you arrive for employer check-in. Please note that any items shipped directly to our office or the Fargodome will be refused.

On-Campus Interviews: On-Campus Interviews (OCIs) are a great opportunity to connect right away with potential candidates you met at the fair. OCIs will take place at NDSU Memorial Union from 8am-4pm on Thursday, February 9th. If you would like to reserve a table for OCIs, please fill out the survey included in registration, or reach out to Nicole Askew, Employer Partnerships Manager, at nicole.m.askew@ndsu.edu or 701-231-8464 for any questions.
