Jessie Bauer

Jessie is the Senior Academic and Career Advisor and the BUS Program Coordinator in the Career and Advising Center. Jessie primarily advises undeclared students interested in either the health fields or business fields. She is passionate about helping students find ways to fit their interests, skills and values with majors and careers that excite them. She teaches UNIV 101, Major Exploration and Academic Planning as a way to help students explore majors.

Jessie also oversees the Bachelor of University Studies program where she works with students to help design an individualized degree program that best fits their interests and career goals. She teaches the UNIV 489 Capstone course required for this degree. Jessie enjoys building relationships with her students to help them succeed in their goals.

Jessie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and French from Concordia College and her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from North Dakota State University. At home, Jessie enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, being outside, reading, golfing and getting together with friends and family.
