Why did you choose the company you work for?

I chose to intern at DuPont because of their strong focus on innovation and sustainability in polymer and materials science, which aligned with my interests.

  • Passion for research and problem solving

What is your favorite part about your internship experience?

My favorite part of my internship experience is gaining hands-on experience with industry-specific technologies and processes.

What is the most challenging part of your internship? How have you overcome these obstacles?

The most challenging part of my internship has been managing the safety of the lab. To prepare,  I have taken safety training courses.

Why was it beneficial for you to register for academic credit through the Internship Program offered through the Career and Advising Center?

I got to know other NDSU students who were interns.

What advice would you give a student who is in the process of searching and applying for an internship? 

Start early, utilize university resources, network with faculty and professionals.
